4.2.3.3.5 Scrolling a Window

Several Session Manager commands allow you to move a window over the stream it is displaying. This process of moving a window over a stream is called scrolling and is controlled with the FIND and SCROLL commands.

With the FIND command, Session Manager scrolls the window so that the
specified text-string is the top line in the window. With the SCROLL
commands, you can control the direction and amount Session Manager scrolls
the window. Both of these commands automatically lock the window in place
after it has moved. The window remains at the locked position until you
issue another SCROLL or FIND command or an UNLOCK command.

In the default environment, the program function (PF) keys are defined to
issue the SCROLL and FIND commands. For a description of how these keys
are defined, see "Changing Program Function (PF) Key Definitions" in
   topic 4.2.3.5.
